Abstract

The present text aims to reflect on the subject Life Project -VP in basic education after the reform of the New Brazilian High School, from a dialogue between education, health and ethics. The guiding documents of the PV available until the year 2022 in the state public networks were analyzed, particularly in the Federal District and Paraná, as well as the accessible literature on the subject, from the possible crossings or silencing in relation to law 10.639/03. In the wake of the so-called 'southern ethics', African, indigenous and diasporic epistemic contributions, we sought to reflect on the potential and impacts of this new discipline considering its ideological roots centered north of the globe. We notice that central themes for the discussion of a curriculum contextualized for the 21st century are absent, reflections of an ethic of persistent erasures. Considering the importance of an education that promotes the active and conscious construction of multiple life projects, we suggest some curricular adjustments that can contribute somehow to the qualification of the debate, in search of a guarantee for plural futures.
