In socio-education, the priority is to re-socialize young people/adolescents in conflict with the law. The inclusion of the rights of children and adolescents has been intensely debated and implemented in most forms of education. There is a lack of elements to recognize students with a diagnosis of disability and/or disorder in the socio-educational system and make this need and this young person visible so that we can create methodological tools to facilitate this process. Internment is intended to promote the student's educational and socio-emotional growth. The aim of this article is to recognize a student with special educational needs within a detention unit and to promote his reception and care. We opted for qualitative and descriptive research, in which a systematic review of the literature was carried out. The contribution of this work is to raise awareness that inclusion is seen as a challenge, as it is misunderstood in the socio-educational system by the various sectors that work there. This proposal is the result of the Human Rights and Socio-education course, developed by the (former) Research and Continuing Education Department for Basic Education Modalities (GEMEB/EAPE), which provides theoretical and practical support for successful methodologies applied in the Federal District's Internment Units for the resocialization of young people with disabilities and/or disorders who are complying with these measures established by law.
