Abstract

This article presents results of a survey carried out at the Continuing Training Management for Innovation, Technologies and Distance Education – GITEAD – belonging to the Subsecretaria for Continuing Training for Education Professionals of the Federal District - EAPE. The research sought to answer the question: what is the perception of GITEAD teacher trainers about hybrid teaching? To answer it, our objectives are: to systematize information and contribute to optimizing the teaching and learning processes developed at GITEAD; highlight the professional profile of the teacher trainers who teach training courses at GITEAD; analyze which aspects of the hybrid modality are most relevant and which are most challenging, in the exercise of the teacher trainer's pedagogical practice. To fulfill the objectives, qualitative, descriptive, bibliographical, documentary research and a field study were carried out with 20 teacher trainers belonging to GITEAD. To collect data from the field study, an online questionnaire developed by the researchers using the Google Forms application was used. The questionnaire was previously evaluated by a team of experts in continuing teacher training, before being administered to respondents. Data analysis and results indicate that the adoption of the hybrid teaching modality is quite widespread in management and accepted by teacher trainers. They present a good conceptual understanding and practical application of this teaching modality. It is considered important that the research involves analyzing the perception of course teachers regarding the hybrid modality, so that the impact of adopting this modality is properly measured.
