This paper aims to analyze how the process modeling performed by the Process Mapping Commission can assist in the efficiency of the service provided by the Brasília campus. It has a documentary and bibliographic character, and interviews were also made with the members of the commission: three professors, from the areas of Public Management and Information and Communication, one management trainee and four students. According to the interviewees reports, the main benefits generated by the internalization of the mapped processes would be: efficiency, standardization of the procedures, time gain, increased employee productivity and a greater understanding of the steps involved in the services delivery. Based on the results presented so far, it was possible to verify that limitations such as the lack of project priority, incomplete application of the BPM - Business Process Management cycle and insufficient disclosure, have a direct impact on the possible benefits resulting from the mapping. The research proposes the creation of a process office, improvements in internalization, dissemination, among other suggestions for solving the problems identified. This is an initial study that will serve as a parameter for future improvements.
