Mostra literária Dozinho: um projeto de vida

Abstract

In order to encourage writing and a taste for reading in children from the 1st to the 5th years of Elementary School, whose objectives are: to expand the students' reading repertoire in order to favor creative writing, promote respect and care for books, awakening the feeling of belonging in the literary environment in order to be able to become a reader, and thinking from a young age on the life project, in a playful way, which arose eight years ago and is held annually at the Dozinho Literary Exhibition. The initiative is part of the Pedagogical Political Project. It has an interdisciplinary nature and transits through the visual arts, music, literature, giving children the opportunity to make use of what they already experience in the curriculum in the classroom and learn from literary works by Brazilian authors, most of whom live in Brasília. The version of the project presented here was developed from March to September 2022, with children aged 6 and 12 who were characterized by spontaneity, joy and interest in painting, drawing, modeling, singing, reading, writing and having fun. The activities were planned with pedagogical intent, aimed at learning new content and re-signification of others, with a view to involving the entire school community in the world of reading and creative writing. In fact, the project brought to the school a welcoming look at reading, writing and especially the imagination of children who are starting to design their own lives.
