"IT'S MAKE-BELIEVE LANGUAGE" REPORTS FROM A TEACHER, RESEARCHER, AND MOTHER ABOUT PLAY
Keywords:
Play. Human development. Infancy.Abstract
The present experience report aims to point out reflections about playing, understanding it as an essential activity for the development of children. The methodological path chosen was based on qualitative research in which, under the epistemological lens of the historical-cultural perspective, mainly through the assumptions of Lev Semionovitch Vygotsky, his collaborators and contemporary authors, analyses were produced about the episodes described in this work. Understanding that one of the milestones of contemporary society is the existence of several roles that are exercised by women in different spaces they occupy, we sought to establish a professional, academic, and personal relationship with the theme by observing different aspects of play from the knowledge acquired from experiences in the school of childhood, studies in the academic field, and motherhood, thus attributing meaning in the trajectory of a teacher, researcher, and mother. The results point to the importance of play in childhood and the appreciation of this activity in the promotion of child development, especially in the school context.
