Abstract

This research brings an excerpt from a broader study on the paths and narratives of children living in Sol Nascente. This design addresses children's potential and their protagonist experiences when narrating their paths. In this context, our objectives are to get to know the children's singular view of their city and to understand the specificities of this territory and the multiple forms of appropriation and transformation of space. The methodology has a qualitative bias with visual participation and uses digital technologies as data collection tools. In addition to field research, a theoretical review and discussion of the main concepts presented were undertaken. The theoretical basis dialogues with the knowledge of the social sciences, especially the Geography and Sociology of childhood. The findings indicate that children appropriate the spaces they experience, dialogue with them and build their spatial identity in a powerful and protagonist way, beyond the logic of adults.
