Abstract

The Brincando de criar project took place in the context of the 2nd Year B class at the Córrego do Arrozal School, in Sobradinho, in 2023. It is an initiative aimed at encouraging science and promoting school inclusion, developed by two students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), guided by the students' teacher with the support of the guardians of one of them. The justification is based on the need to promote the inclusion of students with ASD in the ordinary classroom, recognizing and valuing their potential and interests. The main objective was to create an inclusive environment that favors the development of social and cognitive skills through the construction of toys. To achieve this goal, the action research methodology was used, together with continuous observations and analysis of the artifacts created by the students. The results indicated a significant improvement in the socio-emotional and behavioral aspects of the students with ASD, as well as a positive impact on the rest of the class.
