This text presents an experience report of a continuing education program entitled Maria da Penha goes to school: Violence against women (Maria da Penha vai à Escola: violência contra as mulheres, in Portuguese). Within the scope of this training, the proposal of the Reflective Practice of Developed Learning – PRAD, enabled three course participants to adopt research resources in their pedagogical activities. Aiming to reflect, based on these experiences, about the possibilities of PRAD's proposal to strengthen research as an educational principle, both in pedagogical practices carried out with students, and in the use of research as a resource for teaching practice. Furthermore, we seek to highlight the potential of this approach for practices to prevent violence against girls and women in the school context.
