Abstract

The study explores Quilombola education in Brazil, highlighting the barriers faced by Quilombola communities in terms of basic education and access to higher education. It considers the lack of educational infrastructure, the shortage of qualified teachers, the absence of specific educational policies, and the importance of preserving Quilombola culture. It emphasizes the need for inclusive and culturally appropriate educational policies, as well as the effective participation of the community in the creation and implementation of these policies. The article highlights the urgent need to guarantee quality education that recognizes and values ​​the identity and knowledge of the quilombola community, with the aim of overcoming the historical challenges and structures of Brazilian society.
