American experience: uma imersão na cultura americana

Abstract

The expericence report this  project report American Experience: Immersion in American Culture, was created to explore the cultural and geographic diversity of the United States, allowing students to learn about the history, traditions, cuisine, music, dance and more of different American states . The project can be adapted for different levels of education and is inclusive. The target audience was the upper secondary classes of elementary school II, 8th and 9th years, in the 3rd two months at the Elementary Education Center 103 in Santa Maria DF. Its main objectives are: to introduce students to the cultural and geographic diversity of the United States; promote research and presentation skills; foster respect and appreciation for different cultures; develop teamwork skills. Among other specific skills: engage students in an exciting exploration of American culture and its states, while developing research, presentation and teamwork skills; incorporate elements of history, geography, social sciences and even culture and food typical of each state and region. Studying the importance of American culture for final year students can be an enriching experience, as it allows students to understand the cultural, political and economic impact of the United States on the global stage.
