The project 'Stories that Embrace the World' emerges from the central theme of the Political Pedagogical Project of Escola Classe 413 Sul, entitled 'Butterflying around the world'. Aimed at 2nd year students in both shifts, the project aims to undertake a literary journey that transcends the pages of books, exploring adventures that connect students to different cultures, promoting knowledge, empathy and intercultural understanding. Based on the Federal District's Curriculum in Movement, the project goes beyond reading, embracing intercultural understanding and promoting values such as empathy and tolerance. Furthermore, the focus on socio-emotional skills stands out, as recommended in the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), to prepare students for complex challenges in everyday life. The main stages of the project include promoting intercultural understanding, encouraging empathy and tolerance, valuing creativity and written expression, and fostering a love of reading. The proposal aims not only to broaden literary horizons, but to integrate literacy into the children's context, highlighting respect and daily care. The learning objectives range from reading and interpretation skills to the development of socio-emotional, cultural and artistic skills. Effective literacy strategies, such as phonological literacy, shared reading, creative writing, contextualized learning and continuous assessment, are implemented to ensure an effective teaching-learning process. It is concluded that 'Stories that Embrace the World' provides a significant learning journey, stimulating not only literacy, but also the integral development of students, preparing them for the complexity of the contemporary world scenario. The emphasis on interculturality, respect for diversity and the construction of essential skills stands out as an innovative educational approach aligned with contemporary pedagogical principles.
