School audiovisual production: the experience of the CEF 602 Recanto das Emas Short Film Festival

Abstract

This experience report aims to present reflections on the relationship between audiovisual and education, using the experiences presented throughout the 6 editions of the CEF 602 Recanto das Emas Short Film Festival project. In addition to the project's history, the report also proposes in its theoretical assumptions, reflections from researchers in the area such as Moira Toledo, João Rafael Barbosa, Alain Bergala and Alex Moletta. Understanding technological advances and the diverse interests of students in the Final Years of Elementary School, the report also brings a provocation regarding the use of cell phones as a possible ally for the process of audiovisual production and construction of knowledge in the school space, thus sharing the methodological organization used in the project. Finally, it presents some of the results achieved that suggest the transformations that took place at the school and the impact on the life project of some students who participated throughout the six editions of the CEF 602 Short Film Festival.
