Abstract

Abstract

This work is classified as an experience report in a public school in Brasília/DF, with students from Elementary School II. With the aim of encouraging reading and writing as social practices, three axes were developed, involving students in the process of literary reading and text production. It should be noted that intertextuality was the basis of students' motivation for the development of reading stimulation, discursive practices and textual production. The evaluation of the actions indicated that the work, based on meaningful contexts for the students, favored the writing process, speaking and their reading activity. The report contributes to the promotion of reading and writing and to the training of critical readers and writers capable of creating coherent and cohesive texts, using a variety of linguistic resources and pedagogical materials such as literary books available in the school environment.

Key-words: intertextuality, public school, reading, orality and writing.
