Abstract

Figure theater is a possible methodological path for teaching Art at school, especially in Elementary School. Along the way, students are able to expand various skills beyond artistic skills. For this reason, this research set out to analyze figure theater as a methodological path for teaching Theater in Arts classes with elementary school students, analyze dramaturgical writing for figure theater, analyze the application of the basic principles of theater by through figure theater and analyze the creation of web scenes with figure theater. The methodology used was a case study carried out at the Elementary Education Center 101 of Recanto das Emas [Federal District/Brazil]. 250 students from the 9th year of Elementary School participated in the research. The methodological procedures applied were: dramaturgical writing, creation of figure characters, experimentation with elements for sound design, experimentation with video editing applications. Among the results achieved, the students recorded short web scenes with the drama written by them.

Jailson Araújo Carvalho, SEEDF/UnB

PhD student in Performing Arts from the University of Brasília, Master in Arts from the University of Brasília, graduated with a Full Degree in Performing Arts and a Bachelor's degree in Theatrical Interpretation (Faculdade de Artes Dulcina de Moraes). Member of the research group LATA - Animated Forms Theater Laboratory/CNPq in the research line "Práxis and poiésis in Animated Forms Theatre: tradition, education and staging". He is currently a professor of Performing Arts at the Federal District Education Department. He has experience in the Arts area, with an emphasis on Theatre, Animated Form Theatre, Education and Technology.
