Abstract

This article presents reports of different methodologies for students registration in whats called electives/training paths for the new format of brazilian High School - called “Novo Ensino Médio” (NEM) - in 2022. Considering primarily digital tools, we analyze the following issue: how do arrival order methodology and reassignment methodology impact registration and student autonomy of choice? Reassignment methodology refers to students creating a ranked list of the options they wish to registrate in, and the registration of all participants is carried out at a single time. This method is similar to the procedures for transferring employees of Distrito Federal Education Department. The objective of this work is to present the results obtained from the application of these methods in the participating schools, especially Centro de Ensino Médio Setor Leste, characterizing the strengths and weaknesses of each method based on the registration experience.
