Professional and Technological Education (PTE) is based on polytechnic education, work as an educational principle, and integrated training. The challenges and specificities of professional education require that teachers have continuous training to reflect on their pedagogical practices based on these principles. This study aimed to investigate the perception of teachers and administrators regarding the continuous training process of teachers working in PTE within the scope of the Federal District Department of Education (SEE-DF). Data collection was carried out in three SEE-DF schools, the Department of Continuous Training of Education Professionals (EAPE), and the Department of Professional Education (DIEP), through document analysis, interviews, and questionnaires. The data collected revealed that, although teachers recognize the importance of the conceptual foundations of PTE, these principles still do not guide their everyday pedagogical practices. The results confirm the need for continuous training courses to enhance knowledge and understanding of the conceptual foundations of PTE, aiming to improve teachers' pedagogical practices.
