Thematic Dossier: "Ableism – a Space for Observing the Individual and the Social"
We invite researchers, educators, and professionals in the field to submit papers to this dossier, which aims to reflect on ableism as a social construct and its implications for inclusive education.
The objective is to broaden the debate on the body, disability, and pedagogical practices that challenge normativity and promote truly inclusive, non-ableist education.
We welcome submissions that:
-
Problematize the body of persons with disabilities in all its diversity;
-
Discuss the ethics of care for non-normative bodies;
-
Present inclusive and transformative educational practices;
-
Analyze ableism in family, social, and school relations;
-
Examine ableism in sports, arts, leisure, and culture;
-
Promote intersectionality among ableism, race, gender, and class;
-
Investigate disability in rural, urban, or virtual contexts;
-
Explore how ableism is addressed across different stages and modalities of education.
Join us in this space for reflection and social transformation through education!
