Abstract

This article seeks to reflect on the possible impacts of the continuing education course “Espiral das Artes: visualities, corporalities and theatricalities in early childhood education” (90h), carried out by EAPE on 1/2022 with pedagogical coordinators and teachers of early childhood education at SEEDF partner schools, in favor of the role of children in the project “X Plenarinha: I make art, I take part”. The question is: Is it possible that the pedagogies of the arts contribute to the protagonism of children in early childhood education in a “cascading effect”, based on the aesthetic awareness of the pedagogical coordinators of the schools? Thus, in an Autobiographical Research perspective, it performs a qualitative revisitation of documents such as course plans, course completion report, pedagogical materials used, tools, and above all, the logbooks/Local Interventive Projects of the course participants that were registered on the moodle platform. From the perspective of the impacts on the child's protagonism, it was considered that the “cascading effect” in addition to not contributing, distanced the subjects and their potential for sensitive experience at school. On the other hand, direct continuing education, carried out with the teachers, had  fruitful impacts on the children's creative processes.
