The view of students and teachers from peripheral schools in Planaltina-DF on Physical Education in the Youth and Adult Education modality

Abstract: This article is the result of research carried out between 2018 and 2019 and had as general objective to identify the view of frequent students of the second segment and of the Physical Education teacher of a school located on the outskirts of Planaltina-DF on how the referred discipline is treated in the Curriculum document in Movement of Basic Education for EJA. This is a case study with a mixed, qualitative and quantitative nature. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires with objective and discursive questions to the students, and a semi-structured questionnaire with the professor. The results allowed us to conclude that most of the students surveyed participate in practical classes, and that they are unaware of the documents that legally support them for not carrying out Physical Education activities. Another relevant point found in the research was the absence of general and specific objectives for the discipline of Physical Education, in the second segment, which is equivalent to the last four grades of Elementary School, in the analyzed document. It was noticed, however, that, with a general knowledge about the documents that support the discipline of Physical Education in Youth and Adult Education, the interviewed teacher seeks to conduct classes with different approaches in order to expand the range of activities in order to ensure student participation.
