O YouTube como instrumento para a (semi)formação na educação básica

Resumo

O YouTube é um recurso tecnológico digital relativamente novo e que se configurou como o maior e mais buscado repositório de audiovisuais do mundo, presente sob várias perspectivas nas instituições escolares. Nesse sentido, analisar e discutir quais os potenciais (semi)formativos do YouTube para as propostas de ensino e aprendizagem na Educação Básica é o objetivo deste estudo. Esta investigação utilizou como metodologia pressupostos da pesquisa qualitativo-exploratória, além de análises quantitativas. Percebe-se que a (semi)formação é uma constante relacionada ao uso da plataforma, seja pela possibilidade de acesso a incontáveis conteúdos das mais diversas naturezas sem qualquer limitador, seja pelo papel insuficiente da escola e da família frente a esta TDIC. Na contramão do seu potencial (semi)formativo, o YouTube mostra-se viável como repositório amplo e diversificado que pode subsidiar propostas formativas pautadas na abordagem mídia-educativa, atentando para as dimensões técnico-instrumental, produtiva e crítica do seu uso.

YouTube as an instrument for (semi) formation in basic education

Abstract: You Tube is a relatively new digital technological resource that has become the largest and most sought after repository of audiovisuals in the world, present from various perspectives in school institutions. In this sense, analyzing and discussing what are the (semi) formative potentials of YouTube for teaching and learning proposals in Basic Education is the objective of this study. This investigation used as a methodology assumptions of qualitative exploratory research, in addition to quantitative analyses. It is noticed that (semi) formation is a constant related to the use of the platform, either by the possibility of accessing countless contents of the most diverse natures without any limitation, or by the insufficient role of the school and the family concerning TDIC. Contrary to its semi-formative potential, YouTube is viable as a broad and diversified repository that can support formative proposals based on the media-educational approach, paying attention to the technical-instrumental, productive and critical dimensions of its use.
