Traçando um caminho para educação libertadora com o Movimento Negro

Resumo

A presente resenha busca apresentar a obra Movimento Negro Educador (2017) de Nilma Lino Gomes, traçando um caminho de exposição das principais reflexões da autora em seu livro, além de apresentar as referências que auxiliam na construção do que autora nomeia pedagogia da emergência. Passando brevemente pela divisão de saberes produzidos pelo Movimento Negro feita por Gomes em sua obra, a resenha consiste em colocar tal livro como contribuinte para resgatar o caráter emancipatório da educação, bem como para pensar uma educação libertadora e antirracista.

A path to liberating education alongside the Black Movement

Abstract: This book review seeks to present the work Movimento Negro Educador (2017) by Nilma Lino Gomes, exposing the main reflections of the author in her book, as well as the references that she uses to construct what she calls ‘emergency pedagogy’. Briefly discussing how Gomes frames the branches of knowledge produced by the Black Movement in her work, this review advances the understanding that the book is a key contributor to rescue the emancipatory character of education, and also an important resource to think about a
liberating and anti-racist education.
