60 anos de Jogos Escolares do Distrito Federal: permanências e avanços

Resumo

O artigo analisa a produção teórica esportiva a respeito de eventos esportivos escolares. Apresenta o que são os Jogos Escolares do Distrito Federal (JEDF), seu histórico, quantitativo de participação de 2008 a 2017, objetivos do evento e como funciona a gestão dessa política pública. É realizada uma análise sob um olhar crítico, mostrando as dificuldades e acertos dessa política e possibilidades pedagógicas para mudanças. Percebe-se um aumento de participação no período estudado, principalmente de estudantes de escolas públicas, mas a maior participação ainda é nas modalidades   esportivas consideradas hegemônicas. Os JEDF parecem seguir a lógica dos Jogos Escolares nacionais; entretanto, os JEDF também podem ser realizados com um olhar mais pedagógico, principalmente se o órgão responsável realizar um bom planejamento e uma boa execução.

60 years of Federal District School Games: permanencies and advances

Abstract: The article analyzes the theoretical sports production regarding school sports events. It presents what the Federal District School Games (JEDF) are, its history, quantitative participation from 2008 to 2017, the event's objectives and how the management of this public policy works. An analysis is carried out from a critical perspective, showing the difficulties and successes of this policy and pedagogical possibilities for change. There is an increase in participation in the period studied, mainly of students from public schools, but the greatest participation is still in sports considered hegemonic. The JEDF seem to follow the logic of the national School Games; however, the JEDF can also be carried out with a more pedagogical perspective, especially if the responsible agency carries out good planning and execution.
