Filme Ron Bugado: "Existe diversão off-line?"

Resumo

Este texto busca fazer uma leitura crítica sobre o filme Ron Bugado, que foi produzido pela Locksmith Animation e distribuído pela 20th Century Fox Animation. A película versa sobre Barney, um estudante antissocial do ensino fundamental, e sua relação com Ron, um dispositivo digital conectado à internet, que tem características humanas. Os criadores do filme evidenciam problemas da sociedade contemporânea, como a dependência das redes sociais, e a não interação entre os humanos de modo convencional. Estar fora da rede social é estar alijado do grupo social. Busca-se, portanto, problematizar essa e outras questões que aparecem no filme.

Title: The movie Ron’s gone wrong: “is there offline fun‟?

Abstract: This paper intends to make a critical reading about the movie Ron’s Gone Wrong, which was produced by Locksmith Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox Animation. The film is about Barney, an antisocial elementary school student, and his relationship with Ron, a digital device connected to the Internet, who has human characteristics. The creators of the film highlight problems in contemporary society such as the dependence on social networks and the lack of interaction between humans in the conventional way. To be outside the social network is to be alienated from the social group. Therefore, we intend to problematize this and other issues that appear in the film.
